Roadshow Music в Австралии поздравила Даррена Хэйса с Платиновой пластинкой "Truly Madly Completely - The Best Of Savage Garden", 5 июля в Сиднее на сольном концерте Даррена в рамках тура "Big Night In" проходящем в знаменитой Sydney Opera House. Вручил памятную награду Крис Чардом из Roadshow Music.

Даррен Хэйс посвятил свой новый сингл — акустическую версию песни "Unlovable" — благородному делу спасения больных детей.

С 1 июля песня размещена в свободном доступе на сайте darrenhayes.com. Скачавших ее Даррен просит только об одном — пожертвовать 1 доллар (или кто сколько сможет) в фонд Positive Kids.

Positive Kids финансирует организацию Camp Goodtime, которая занимается поддержкой ВИЧ-инфицированных детей. Сообщается, что "Unlovable" не будет выпущена коммерческим редизом, так что единственная возможность послушать ее — скачать с сайта.

Оригинальная версия "Unlovable", напомним, вошла на второй сольный альбом Даррена Хэйса "The Tension & The Spark".

Во вторник на стадионе имени С. М. Кирова в Санкт-Петербурге прошел уникальный международный рок-концерт, приуроченный к саммиту лидеров глав государств "Большой восьмерки" (Summit G8), который состоится в июле 2006 года в Санкт-Петербурге, и глобальной акции "Stop контрафакт". В концерте выступили: Darren Hayes, Scorpions, The Cardigans, The Rasmus, , Kosheen и другие.

Концерт с Дворцовой площади Санкт-Петербурга.

Dusting off old songs,
making them new again.
Finding all my red tunes,
making them blue again.

I'm having a blast in the rehearsal studio with Robert,
taking the toys and gadgets out to re-design and
overhaul the catalogue.

Some surprises in store, I think!

I can't wait for this tour to begin.
2 weeks to go. And counting...

I had a meeting today with Tom Baker, the London tailor who is designing and making my stage clothes. Tom is very cool. He's Saville Row standard but incredibly edgy and sophisticated. His studio is right in the heart of Soho. I went there to choose fabrics and get measured.

It was amazing seeing his little 'factory' - hearing the sewing machines and seeing all the patterns and fashion paraphernalia adorning every available space. It was like a laboratory of mod style.

The way it works is, Tom must make a template for my suits - have me back and adjust every micro inch of fabric - and then start to cut from the fabric that is being imported from Paris. I've never had an experience like this before. He ever measured my knees!

Next week I'll go back and have a fitting and then no doubt Tom will have to work day and night to finish the garments by April 20!

I'll try to take a photo at my next fitting.

In other news, I saw my favorite Artist of the moment - Imogen Heap - perform in London last night. She was a delightful, kooky, mad genius.

Loved every second of it. This is what music is.

Rainy day in London.

Less than 4 weeks until the tour starts and things are really
starting to shape up here.
There are all sorts of departments getting knee deep in busy. Fintan
and Troy are taking fittings and sorting out what to wear, our
production manager is scrambling to make last minute decisions a
reality and our band are starting musical rehearsals.

I've been busy working on the arrangements of the songs, the set list
and getting fit.

Tomorrow I have another meeting with our Tour Designer Willie
Williams to go over finer details about the show structure and to
look at the various pieces of film and video we have commissioned to
be played on the television screens and projectors.

I've loved being so involved with the film makers.It's rewarding and
yet has been taking up every last second.

Then of course, there's putting the final touches on my tour film.
That's a whole other fantastic story. But we prepared. It's
wonderful.
